The Artists.

As the members of our collective progress on their healing journey with our guidance, we encourage them to support the artists and Black women business owners in our community. We promote a culture of lifting as we rise and find healing in altruism.

Mikaela Clark

Mikaela is a Partnerships Strategist at Man Repeller based in New York City by day, but moonlights as an artist, creating through whichever medium she can whether painting, sewing or singing. She began painting as a stress-reliever in 2016 and a couple years later started a custom hand-painted jacket business (@hansel_clothing) to share her creations. Since then she’s enjoyed exploring new styles of painting including the miniature acrylic paintings listed here. Aside from creating, Mikaela spends her free time in nature or with friends and often turns to good fiction, journaling, the bible and yoga to practice self-care.

Nia Jackson

Nia Jackson was born in Greenville, Mississippi, on July 28, 1995. Growing up in an artist’s household exposed Nia to a variety of mediums. Her mother was a painter, sculptor, and graphic artist. As Nia got older, she progressed from abstract drawings and clay creations to figurative portraits. Overtime, Nia’s fascination with graphite portraiture grew. When she entered college, her elaborate drawings became paintings. Currently, Nia creates realistic portraits meant to uplift people of African descent using various forms of media, working primarily with acrylic paint on canvas.
